Welcome To ACT

 OUR STORY

ACT was created in 1995 by a group of dedicated, theatre-loving individuals on Prince Edward Island. Since then it has presented top-quality productions, including blockbuster musicals (Jesus Christ Superstar, HMS Pinafore, The Rocky Horror Show, Sweeney Todd); strong dramas (The Crucible, Julius Caesar, Waiting for Godot, Macbeth); classics (The Mousetrap, The School for Scandal); delightful comedies (Noises Off, Lend Me a Tenor, Midsummer Night's Dream); and much more. In 2020, ACT is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To read more about the history of ACT and it's beginnings : 'What's in a name?'

Upcoming shows

Stay tuned for more details! 'It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play' coming in December. This family classic comes to life, bringing holiday spirit to the stage! Evening performances on December 3, 4, 5 and 10, 11, 12  with additional matinees on Saturdays. Shows in Charlottetown and North Rustico are planned, with ticketing information coming soon

POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

DUE TO COVID-19

Written by Michael Frayn, this show presents the madcap misadventures of a touring troupe of actors, their bitingly sarcastic director, and their overworked crew as they attempt to rehearse and perform a flop of a farce entitled Nothing On. ACT’s  production of this ‘farce to end all farces’ will  (fingers crossed) appear sometime on stage in 2020. Tickets are $25 and will available eventually at www.ticketpro.ca and at the Florence Simmons box office.
